“But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.” 2 Timothy 3:14 NLT

Today I want to express my gratitude to God for placing me in such a wonderful church family. There are lots of churches out there, lots of good churches, I’m sure. But there are also those that lose sight of what’s important. But not my church. I have been at Mountain View Baptist Church for a little over 7 years now and in that time, I’ve been saved, baptized, taught and discipled. God has used this church family to help me grow spiritually. My relationship with my God has matured and strengthened because of what I’ve learned here. I am a better Christian because of them. I have learned who God is and how I am supposed to live a holy life that is pleasing to Him. I have relationships with other believers who I know love me and pray for me. I know they are cheering me on. It is such a blessing and an honor to serve my LORD with them. My pastor is wonderful, patient and kind. He is a man of God that preaches straight from the Word of God. But he not only preaches it on Sunday morning, he lives it out each and every day. I have wonderful teachers in Bible Fellowship on Sunday mornings and great discipleship teachers on Sunday night. I am able to worship and praise God with so many people who love the LORD and hold His word in high regard. I may not know what tomorrow holds or where God will lead me in the future but I know the foundation that has been built in this church family is a foundation I can trust and stand on wherever I go. God saved me and didn’t need anyone’s help but I am so thankful that in His sovereign wisdom, He chose to use this church, this family, to help make me who I am today. This morning, I’m just so thankful. If you haven’t found this, I urge you to pray, ask God to lead you where He wants you to be. Find a home church, a community of devoted followers of Christ that love Him above all else. Get plugged in and prepare to see God work in your life. Thank you Mountain View Baptist Church for being my home, my family. I love and appreciate you more than you will ever know.
